Frank wants elegance. Rambo wants the jar. Mom wants her shirt back.

We don't have thumbs, a job, or a mortgage — but we DO have opinions. Strong ones. And today we're settling this once and for all: organic peanut butter vs. the store brand stuff.
My mom puts it in my Kong. She hides my pills in it. She uses it to distract me while she wipes my wrinkles. So yeah — I'm basically a peanut butter expert. Frank agrees. He doesn't say much, but he agrees
So Mom came home with TWO jars of peanut butter. TWO. And she had the audacity to tell us one was "better." We decided to investigate. Scientifically. With our faces.
**The Contestants:**
🥜 The Fancy One** BusyButter Calming Squeeze Pouches (6 pouches)
🥜 The "Other" Brand** * *Green Coast Pet Pawnut Butter — Flaxseed (16 oz)

**Round 1: The Smell Test**
Frank went in first. He sniffed Jar # 1 for approximately 0.3 seconds before trying to put his entire head inside it. Rambo took a more refined approach — two sniffs, a sneeze, then also tried to put his entire head inside it.
Both jars passed Round 1. Science is going well.
**Round 2: The Lick**
The organic one is smoother. More sophisticated. It clings to the roof of your mouth in a way that requires serious dedication to remove. Frank gave it a 10/10 and then sneezed peanut butter on Mom's shirt.
The store brand hits different. It's saltier. Bolder. No-nonsense, like it has somewhere to be. Rambo ate half of it off the spoon before Mom noticed.
**Round 3: The Aftermath**
Both of us spent 45 minutes working peanut butter off the roofs of our mouths. Mom filmed it. She was not sorry.
**The Verdict:**
Frank says: *Organic. Smooth. Elegant. Like me.*
Rambo says: *Store brand. More salt. Less pretending.*
**Official ruling:**
They are both peanut butter and we will accept either one immediately, no questions asked, at any time, including 3am.
*Mom says we're not food critics. Mom is wrong.*
Best value ruling for budget dog treats
If you are shopping by value, start with the simple jar-style option your dog tolerates well and read the ingredient list before buying. The pouch format can be convenient, but convenience is not the same thing as best value.
For this site, the winner is the affordable one-time purchase that works for your own dog. No subscription treat box is required. Buy the size you can use before it goes stale, check for xylitol and avoid paying extra for packaging if the simpler option does the job.
